Pimenta dioica

Common Name:  Allspice

Origin: Mexico

Height: 20′

Light: Partial to full sun

Water: Keep soil moist

Bloom: Spring and summer

Comments: A small tree with glossy oval leaves, the Allspice tree is the source of the culinary seasoning. The tree is extremely aromatic, and simply crushing a leaf releases enough of the oils to perfume a room! The small white flowers are followed by small berries, from which the spice is derived.
